I'd like to talk about a celebrity in my country whose name is Youssou Ndour.
Youssou Ndour is a senegalese singer, song writter and the leader of "Super star band". He's the most popular singer of a form of music called "Mbalax". He started singing in the 1970's and brought the music to international popularity in the 19820's as solo performer and with such western musical players as Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Sting....
He's the tourism and leisure minister and he's working hard to promote senegal destination. He wants tourism to be the pillar of our development.

ReplyDeleteYoussou Ndour is an interesting person,I know his music from the song '7 seconds'. I didn't know he was involved in politics.Lets hope he's successful in making Senegal a tourist destination!
